Ranjbaran's Dance of Life for, violin and double bass, is performed by Duoming Ba, violin, and Satoshi Okamoto, double bass on October 9, 2016 in Merkin Hall, New York City. The concert is part of the New York Philharmonic Chamber Series at Merkin Hall.
Dance of Life was inspired by a poem by the great 14th century Persian poet, Hafiz. It was commissioned and recorded by Eugene Levinson, former principal bass of the New York Philharmonic.
