The text for We Are One is comprised of 5 sections, each in a different language: Spanish, Persian, Hebrew, Arabic, and English. Each portion of the text is sung in its original language. The vocal parts are written so that community choruses are able to sing along with professional choirs, making it accessible to a variety of performers. For the English part, Ranjbaran has used the text of “we shall overcome”, ending with “we shall live in peace”. The word peace is repeated in 20 languages representing more than 100 countries.
