* Ranjbaran’s Double Bass Concerto was premiered by Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Ali Yazdanfar, Double Bass, and Kent Nagano, Conductor

     Montreal Symphony Orchestra premiered Ranjbaran’s “Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra” in Montreal, Canada.  Ali Yazdanfar, the orchestra’s principal bass, was the soloist with the music director, Kent Nagano, conducting.  The bass concerto was a joint commission by Ali Yazdanfar and Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
